“埃及人”的身份困境:罗马治下的身份变迁与社会偏见

长期以来,学者在讨论罗马统治下的埃及人时,往往将他们笼统地归结为地方诺姆的埃及土著居民。这种简化掩盖了“埃及人”身份的多重面向。本文通过分析罗马埃及行省中“埃及人”法律身份的演变,结合血缘、文化与等级身份的交叉差异,考察了“埃及人”身份在不同阶层间的浮动,并探讨造成这一差异的社会因素。文章旨在挑战对“埃及人”身份的单一化界定,揭示其身份的多元性与流动性,并强调历史语境与社会偏见对身份认同的深刻塑造。
